The Essence of Life

On the essential facts of life that make it what it is.

It is living and giving

It is growing and glowing

It is rejoicing and laughing

It is hurting and crying

It is listening and feeling

It is seeing and perceiving

It is dreaming and believing

It is hoping and trusting

It is toiling and resting

It is working and playing

It is sowing and reaping.

It is loving and being loved

It is forgiving and being forgiven

It is hearing and being heard

It is touching and being touched

It is seeing and being seen

It is befriending and being a friend

It is hugging and being hugged

It is kissing and being kissed

It is saying hello and bidding goodbye

It is reaching out and aiming high

It is letting go and moving on.
