A poem of lost love.
Who was that faceless man I kissed with such desire
The one I once knew
his kisses tasted familar
was as I once remembered
this I could never tire
his eyes I couldn’t see
His fragrance lingered in the room
he began to touch me
my body reacted as it once had before
as though time had never past
he drew me in deep
he was swift and kept me anxious for more
I grasped for air as the gratification was released
falling to the soft silken sheets
I heard the sounds’ I once heard
thinking this could never cease
this loving could never be true
he responded in a natural way
caressing me as once before
the face of the man was you
