The Fairy House Door

I’m building a Fairy House and I wrote this poem while I painted the door.

I’m building a Fairy House
It needs a door
I gather the wood

Gluing it together was easy
Making the hinge took thought
Now it opens just fine

Now the question is
What colors would
Those whimsical fairies like

The door frame
I painted black
With sparkles

The inside of the door
Is a bright beautiful
Metallic Amethyst

Now for the outside
A nice metallic green trim
The door is antique copper

But that can’t be all
What else would a fairy
Want on their door

A door needs a little window
So I go through all my stained glass
Till I find a clear gold piece

Cut out a hole for the glass
Then around it I put eleven
Semi precious polished stones

What a lovely inviting door
Open and come in to a grand world
Of a magical adventure
