I surrendered my soul

to your safe keeping

soon to be the fossil of something

that once resembled me

intensity of broken flesh

that once did bleed

yet no longer will my heart beat

not even a clatter

as it only continues to skip

locked inside a tomb

of unopened marvels

just a dusty home

the word of breath: silent

here the fallen never rise

i am lost and all alone

nothing but maggots and bone

I totally disagree PLEASE DELEE THE ABOVE COMMENT AS MY COMPY HAD COLAPSED

    You immortalise
    Yourself in poetry
    And
    I dare say
    Fossilize your self…
    I remember once I held
    A fossil in my hand
    It came alive
    And
    Flashed by like a cinema
    On a three D screen…

What was the fossil once like?
    Twas not a dream
But a finality at that point of time
    Twas that fossil
    I held was a life
    Of some ones’
    Lifetime

    Like re-infused Sunrise.

Quite a hard one, perhaps on yourself.

You can and will rise again if you let God resurrect you.
