The Far Distance

Distant horizon

Far into the distant horizon

As the suns rays lengthen

I walk towards you oh my Lord.

I want to catch your rays

Then hold them as my reins

If I could I would

Not let you go home

But then I run faster to the horizon

Of my life all alone

Oh sun thou art the life giver

You seed human birth

You are definitely of praise worth

You are my God

My life

My strength

Oh sun without you

I am no length.

You are the vision of tomorrow

The light of yesterday

Today till I reach the horizon

Oh sun I do earnestly pray

Just for this one day

Do stay
