Country Tales.

Does the farmer care for a screaming gale,

With rain falling sideways and driving hail,

Standing benieth a swaying, straining tree,

He stares at the skies defiantly,

Protected by hedgrows he feels safe and warm,

Still staring at the troubled skies measuring the storm,

Turning his nose up at the winds high pitched scream,

He will not be beaten, he’s living the dream.

I grew up in a rural area so I appreciate farmers, braving mother nature and her storms to feed the world.
