A poem about a man who was a great father the kind his dad never new how to be.

It is time for a change .To change the way men have not been real fathers .The kind my dad doesn’t know how to be .  If I can start with me I will be a great father the kind my own dad didn’t  know how to be .The kind who will wake up with his son and go to bed with him.  Because  we will be far better than him.The kind who will always be there to fix his truck when it breaks down and to catch him when he falls .The kind of dad you should learn how to be. Because I am there when he wants to run to me. I will be the dad who will be at his son’s football games waiting in the stands. Proudly holding his hand. This is the deffinition of a real man. I will hold my little man when he is hurt because I don’t see him as work. He is half of me just like I was half of you but we are very different because I am a real dad and one that’s better than you. I realized that I would never want to keep this hateful cycle going, because I will be there as he is growing. The hurt you put me through is the worst thing a man can do. Walk out on his child this is not what a real man would do.Maybe you can learn from me to be the great father you never knew how to be.

Being a father is definitely tough business. You may argue which jobs are the hardest – but being a father beats them all.

I like this. I can definitely relate to this. I like the line \”I will hold my little man when he is hurt because I don’t see him as work\”. Thanks for sharing.

You hit a nerve on this one lol I got so much to say about this subject I can write a book literally, so instead I\’m going to write it in poetry form or as an article you got to check it out when you can. But this note right her is the truth

But attempting to be a Father without the appropriate level of kindness, gentleness, level headed firmness, and sensitivity which is due a child is a situation better left without a Father at all.

Ya got it right on — But fatherhood is NOT natural to the species. Only SOCIETY demands this.
