The beautiful sights and sounds of the mountain stream running along side our log cabin at Goff Creek Lodge just outside Yellowstone.

Debutante of Absaroka foothills escorted down nature’s staircase of earthen brown clay;

The crisp clear breeze of earth’s ancient corridors combs softly through her long platinum tresses;

Satin ruffles of cool mountain stream are adorned with elegant pearls of delicate white lace

And her transparent silken gown sparkles with shimmering sequins of sunbeams luminous rays.

Whispers and giggles break forth from rocks and childish pebbles, as the edges of her skirt brush past;

The symphony of the waterway strikes up a haunting melody which gives guidance to her graceful steps.

Choral voices ripple through the air, giving breath to searching questions– soft echoes come in answer.

The chants of cold water naiads call forth for bended knee; humble honor due, giving praise to her Creator.

    Wonderful. If you had palette and brush you could not have painted a clearer picture.

    Mmm. I can see it, and smell it, and feel the air on the skin of my arms. Absolutely beautiful work, my friend.

    As others have said – this is really lovely. The way you’ve used the metaphor to explain the things you see and hear around you is divine. The whispers and giggles…great wordsworthian writing!!
