Humorous poem about the Flu Bug.

Have you seen the Flu Bug?

He was here for seven days.

He was really a major pest.

He wanted to come over and play.

He said, “Hello John Peters.

You’re looking rather weak.

How would you like to be out of school?

I can keep you home for a week.”

I shook my head no.

I told the Flu Bug to leave me alone.

But the Flu Bug would not leave,

He decided to stay in my home.

“I love it here in your house.

I’ll just hang around like an eager beaver.

My goodness you look ill.

I think you’re coming down with a fever.”

The Flu Bug stayed around.

He was in my house for seven days.

And then he said goodbye,

“It’s time that I go away.

I’ve got some new vicims to see.

They’re in for a real big surprise.

I just can’t wait for me to visit them

And bring some red tears to their eyes.”

The moment he left I felt healthy.

I was so glad that he left.

He was certainly not welcome here.

He was an atrociously, terrible guest.
