I’ve reached manhood – now what?
Real life beats at me
Back and forth from shore to sea
Work and love, money and friends
Confusion lasts until the end
Politics, intrigue, scheming and lust
Makes it hard to decide what is just
Push it away and it comes flooding back
This innocent boy now a man -but intact?
He’s found what it means to be an adult
But heart or mind, which does he consult?
So much to learn and nothing but time
And all to show for it is dirt and grime
He still doesn’t know, and it’s THAT which he fefars:
Too much emotion, or too many beers?
