Short poems about life during the year.

Summer

Hot southern winds bring summer to the land
The crops planted in the fields
Bring forth the promise of a harvest
Yielding bushels of grain

White crosses cover the ground
We pause to remember those we have lost
We place a wreath and wave the flag
While rifles count to twenty one

We celebrate our independence
Bright fireworks fill the air
We OOOHH and AAHH
It feels good to know that we are free
