A past cloud/shadow which never goes away.

I pause, for your appearance is so significant

Darkness!

You stand by the wall

Cold wind blew you upon me

Disturbing my warmth

Shaking the nerves

We are no longer parallel

Broken Empire

Historic deficit

Past Generation

Yet you are so close

Imposing fear on others

Moving slowly, following my every step

Disturbing theme music

A sharp blur

Distortion!

Not an ordinary shadow

Verified with the sense of touch

Fingers stick

Like cold magnet, attracting neighbours to see

I’m ignoring your honey fire

Avoiding your chilly kisses

You’re the burning ice

The Frozen Shadow

Very interesting mesh of ideas, phrases, and words–seems like stream of consciousness at its best. I’m noticing some personal trials juxtaposed with the fractured fiscal-political state of the US. Fascinating work.
