This is a poem about a Vicar who was Gay.
There once was a Vicar who was gay
He thought about boys every day
He often invited them to pray
and drink tea from a tray
but he never killed a fly
and would never do harm to a guy
He had his own goals
to help all those souls
So he decided to be careful
rather than be dareful
but he felt his humanity
and often dealt with insanity
His problem was definitely not vanity
He did lots of good works
and his parish overlooked his quirks
Can’t you see
He was really helping the community
And all of this for free
So be careful how you judge
And don’t hold a grudge
Because we all have a cross
and to damn him might be a loss
