For Duff’s writing challenge #6.

Image via Wikipedia

I was strolling alone through the forest,

listening to the birds chirping in the trees.

Taking advantage of the clear Autumn day,

enjoying the cool and refreshing breeze.

As I walked along the narrow dirt trail,

I felt more alive than I ever had before.

The pretty Fall season is my favorite time,

there are many spectacular colors to adore.

I spotted the most beautiful golden leaf,

and watched it float down onto the ground.

Its rare beauty left me with a silent tongue,

I could not make even the slightest sound.

Ahhh lovely – indeed it can be amazing when something seemingly insignificant can leave (no pun intended) us enthralled. You’re a regular participant in these challenges, and I thank you greatly.
