Failure after failure and still they don’t see the inevitable:

I can see the abyss

Deep and wide

Filling up with the defunct Euro coins

The millstone of Europe

Right by the edge

Frantic

A lone Frenchman jumping up and down

Denying all

Pleading to be triple, A rated once again

Surely, he must see the end

As he slides

Feeling the soil eroding away beneath his feet

He hears the banks crumbling, yet is still in denial

Further over in the distance

Herr Chancellor dithering in the crumbling background

Wanting to be a headless chicken

Just so someone else can be blamed

Scattering around the seeds of forlorn hope

She knows the game is up

Hoping against hope that others do not realise this fact

It is all for naught

The good ship Euro sinks to oblivion

Testament to a pipe dream

Note: Names have been omitted to protect the innocent – if there are or ever were any innocent parties in the Euro debacle.

I think the concept of Euro is a failure.
