This is how much goofing together can make the greatest of freinds.
So much water
Has gone under the bridge
But some things
Are stuck on my mind
This is the reason
You are my friend for life
But I wonder
If you too can remember our deeds
Do you?
Can I remind you
We always went out at night
With the little pocket money we had
And danced the night away
You wriggled up and down
I shook my body and sweated
Do you remember that?
Only to walk back in the wee hours
Tired, broke and sober again
You put on your snickers
And we went for basket ball
You made some few moves
That were impressive
But let the team down at times
When you goofed
Then we would retire to our lair
And share a cigarette
Then there were those girls
That we used to chat about
Some were cute in all aspects
While others were the contrary
Then our little hearts
Were stolen from us
By some young girls
That we could not approach
Where are they?
I have the guts to pop the word now!
I hope you still remember
When I could not pop the word
And you came in with advise
On how I should handle her
I believed you then
And took you for a don juan
But I wonder my friend
How you could help me
And fail to help your self
Its was a goofy friendship
But it was real
Life my friend
Is so indefinable
I did not know
That the brief time we shared
Was all that we had
Can we ever meet some day
And do what we loved to do then
I was your better at table tennis
I wonder if I still am
Distance and time are so bad
For separating the greatest of friends.
