Don’t consort with her. It’s a deadly sin in the deepest sense.
Envy.
She punctures all friendships
With her precise pinprick.
She taints every moment,
Wringing it with a dense cloud
Of impenetrable haze.
She’s a devil in disguise.
With alluring green eyes
And a voice clear as the skies,
She’ll spew a million lies.
She’ll pretend to have your back,
Then proceed to stab it repeatedly
With a dagger unforeseen,
Making it all the more…
Painful.
She poisons human souls,
With an elixir with such a blow,
Even death cannot cure
Its discordant echo.
She is the unfortunate root
For much strife in this world,
But beware her treachery, dear friend:
She’s a rather beautiful, feisty girl.
She’ll tempt you, brainwash you
With all of her might,
But she’ll leave you hateful, desperate,
As she departs into the night.
