Every person is eager to please somebody else at some point in their life. It is more important to please yourself and to be happy with who you are. When you are happy with who you are, then the rude and snide remarks of others don’t matter or don’t seem to hurt anymore.

a vicadin bathed moment
charming as it may be
as long as one does not mention
the grudge within
that one lonely, wounded mind
and life goes on
breathing in
what one does not want
