On the first Noel, a star shone in the heavens, announcing the birth of Christ.
THE HERALD
A star, a messenger, angel bright,
Heralded, shown, announced that night,
From beyond the east and to the west,
It shone, and glowed, to rally the best,
Seen by all and understood by few,
Mystery light came with heaven’s clue,
A birth – the birth – the one above all,
Bringing hope to all who heeded the call,
Magi and shepherds came to it to find,
One glorious gift eternally to mind,
One star, bright angel, a message of birth,
Shone with heraldry that night of worth!
