Memories that we cherish, to my family something we all will miss
I love you and hope you will share this.
It was an ordinary house, built in the 50’s, in Kialua, Oahu
On a busy stretch of street, where the bus stopped in front
Wood floors, three bedroom, 1 bath
Two blocks from the beach, where kids played in the yard
We’d walk to the Racquet Club for soda on a hot day
Watch the our kids play football on the road that lead to the Racquet Club
It was where we assembled and spent family holidays,
Where we congregated to celebrate a birthday, graduations, and the birth of a child,
A visitor from out of town, meet to go fly remote control planes,
Go camping, fishing, outings, shopping, everything and anything
Go to church, tea parties, or just hanging out on the patio on a hot day,
Christmas was the big one, my brothers, nephews and nieces came and decorated inside and out
It took about a week to set everything up, it was a treasure for the little ones
Well worth my families labor, to drive by and see the decorations
Three generations of family would join together here with one another
It was Mom and Papa’s house
Time catches up with you quickly
We thought it would be there forever
A place where we gathered together, two families sharing
Very Happy Memories
