Something humorous, to cheer me up.

My day is always taken up with things I must do,
I wash, I clean and cook, and do ironing for you.
There is always so many dishes, when I have cooked the tea,
You all tuck in, empty plates, but nothing left for me.

I must dust and do the polishing, hang washing on the line,
I hope that it all will dry, so I pray it will stay fine.
If it should start raining I rush out to get it in.
At the same time, take the rubbish to put out in the bin.

” My love you look so tired ” You do often say,
I would sit and rest if there was time in my day,
At night I sit to watch my favourite show,
But put my feet up, my eyes will shut. and away I go.

If only I got paid by the hour, then rich I might be,
Then maybe a holiday in sight I might see.
But “ha ha” im so funny, for tomorrow it will be,
Another day of shopping and paying bills again for me……

    Jude…this is a light-hearted look at the life of a housewife…
sometimes it can be drudgery, not much of a life
but I can identify with cooking, cleaning, laundry,
shopping, paying bills and other tasks of sundry
while my wife gets on her uniform and goes out to work.
If she saw this she\’d probably laugh and call me a jerk!!!

I, can vouch for your labours I, have just done the whole spring clean! over the last three days…. my other half is on here way back, from Visiting her Brother…. who has just had major heart surgery…. so even if the other half, does get time out of the house…. sometimes it too, is a heavy chore on the heart.

This reminds me so much of when I was still at work. Thank goodness I am a lady of leisure now. I don’t think I could cope with it all any more. A very good post.

Sorry! That was a comment on the last post I read. I meant to say that you work too hard and need to delegate. An enjoyable read.
