…alabaster white.

I heard the clicks
And creaks in the night
The freshly made paint
Stirs in that pot
I see the intentions
They laid, in the wee
Hours of midnight

For shadows never lie
And absence is always revealed
In rays of thoughtful light

They swayed together
As if they were made
For the other

They sang a common song
Their eyes glowed
Alabaster white
Like they were created
Divine

It wasn’t quiet morning
When the hum of city sounds
Spoke their humble song
And toes reached softest touch
And remembered
What might have been
Otherwise forgotten.

A tantalizing show for the senses. Truly the perceptions of an alert individual with a mind that works figuratively.
