Man may claim knowledge and skills about the Universe, but the hunger for this knowledge will for ever remain deep and humbling.

Far, far Away!

The sky meets the dome shaped earth

The mirage so rich and misleading

I put my cognitive power to deep meditation

My mind running so far away to the perceived time

When the first man walked the land

Tall, erect and ready to hold dominion

Over land, sea and the air

___

Far, far away

I put my thoughts to the most remote end of memory

Around the first bird I saw

The first dove-like coo I ever heard

The first distant lightening across the horizon

The first boom of thunder that shook my world

The more I ponder

The more I go far, far away in emptiness

And hunger even more for knowledge about our Universe

The thirst for knowledge is a powerful thing. I think you have captured that thirst in this poem.

    well expressed!
Knowledge is power, it’s good to know more. I am hunger for knowledge too, but just that I’m lazy most of the time, haha.

Sound like a nice dream. Better than thinking about work.

And if humankind does not quickly make use of his evolutionary superiority in conceptional thought to learn how to manipulate physics and its laws and learn all there is to know about his environment (the universe) then he will not survive beyond this spring and summer of life where his world was not challenged by the hostility that must one day come from the presence of ongoing change.

    Winter must some day come.

Supreme work. I like the concept very much. What was it like for man to hear the first sound of a bird or the lighting flash. You surely can ponder and it makes me wonder too.

I would have loved to be there when Adam named the animals.

Excellent work. Make sure this hunger is there throughout the life. This is the fire that drives us all.
