I couldnt leave the recently published part one of this left as it was.A fellow writer suggested I continue it and it sounded like a great idea. After a week of tossing around ideas I came up with the published part 2.Hopefully,it is good and solves the puzzle. Did the grey knight be found and reunited with his wife and child?Or did he be carried home on his shield awaiting a regal burial as a loyal knight should?

Lady Sabrina Blackmoore stared at the bloody battlefield,
but her worried blue eyes saw no sign of her husband.
Her servants searched the field for his shield and sword,
but not one of the deceased knights fit Wills description.
****
Did William of Blackmoore castle survive the bloody battle?
Could he also be a prisoner of the much hated Saxons?
Or in a villagers hut being tended to by an elderly woman?
Or could her beloved be buried without the proper honors?
*****
Sabrina missed their daughter Payge without a doubt,
but knew that she was safe back in the kings castle.
Mile after mile of bloodied battlefields she searched,
but there was never no sign of her missing husband.
*****
But Lady Sabrina wouldn’t give up as easy as that,
deep down inside she knew she had to keep looking.
No tears came as her search took her farther away,
but deep down inside she knew William was still alive.
*****
The long days turned into a month then two more,
but the Lady Sabrina never gave up hope at all.
Mile after mile she rode looking for her beloved,
believing the next village would have him there.
*****
But lady luck rode with Sabrina on this journey,
for she saw his shield and sword at a market.
The fabled eagle on the shield was damaged,
but his sword had survived the battle very well.
****
She bought back his things for just a few coins,
paying the village woman a few more for Williams
location.
She said his lordship is in my hut down by the river,
my daughter Meagan has been tending to his needs.
*****
Sabrina rode her horse like she never has before,
finally finding a shabby hut by the described river.
Her weary hand knocked on the door then waited,
Meagan opened the door and invited Sabrina inside.
****
Sabrina saw her beloved resting on a faded cot,
it was clear William got a bad wound in the fight.
The tears fell like rain as she rushed to William,
William in turn held his beloved lady as she cried.
****
Later he told her he had been badly wounded,
a Saxons sword caught him in the side unexpectedly.
But Meagan has tended to my needs very well,
in a few days I will be able to ride Devils Wind.
****
Forward a dew days and they are riding back home,
Meagan and her mother was paid many coins for
their kindness.
Devils Wind is carrying William back to his castle,
hooked to the saddle is his sword and battered
shield.
*****
Thus ends the story of Lady Sabrina and her
beloved knight,
they are now back at home with Payge again.
Another child was conceived a few months later,
in the late Spring their new son will be born.
****
This goes to show that loves does conquer all,
that it can be strong enough to survive anything.
William and Sabrina are proof of this we all know,
he was their when his son was born in the Spring.
