The Invisable Tree Stump a poem by Jennifer Jo Fay. A poem about deceit, lies and getting caught in them and tripping.

The Invisible Tree Stump

Crimson hearts

tell no lies

or at least

they are sworn to secrecy

and telltale fates

await their demise.

Blue eyes

are clear and

define the sea of beauty

sweet little lies

drown

in the foaminess of waves.

She cries herself

to sleep at night

as Juda Belle

wove a tangled web

and tripped.
