We can all take a lesson from the ivy.

Ivy swings down our deck to below
Growing the greener as winter winds blow
English ivy like a hardy old soul
Shade or bad soil it continues to grow
Determined roots reach deep in the pot
Tendrils run rampant and thrive in the dark
Winter or summer it takes little heed

It thrives and grows, mother natures the key
Where roses and daisies refuses to grow
Ivy hunkers down, its roots will take hold
This sturdy old plant a lesson to all
Hunker on down when the winter winds blow
Where soil is cankered and moisture is low
Faith like the ivy will strengthen your soul.

The Ivy is very inspirational, thriving in most difficult conditions. Great poem.

This is lovely Ruby. Are you referring to the Ivy that grows all over the south? I hear that stuffs impossible to kill. It sure is pretty, though!
