Depicts the tale of the Jackal, for Halloween/Samhain.

Journey in night I wake, flames flicker and dance softly to the hallows wind.
Abatis’ in place, they ward off the weary of heart and add to my grim look.
Crude are my maw, I hope it leaves them in awe.
Keen are my eyes, I glare into theirs instilling fright or perhaps flight?
Astounding and scary are their skin, perhaps it is I who is horrifying no longer? But I warn, to scare … this I have sworn!
Late is night, past the midnight air, all are somber no longer full of excitement and life they are, all have something of mine to keep but soon I shall weep for what I have sewn so shall I reap, snuffed are my flames; soul is drained my time has past but my tricks and treats shall forever last!
