The history on the Kabah.
The magnificent kabah sits gracefully in the centre of the ancient mosque, while it is circled by the religious Muslims as part of Hajj ritual. It was built by Prophet Abraham and his son Ishmael. It was built as a place of worship. All Muslims around the world face the Kabah during prayers, no matter where they are.
The kabah was not originally built by Abraham it was built by Adam, first man on earth. At the time of Prophet Muhammad, his tribe the Quraysh were in charge of the Kabah, which was at that time a shrine filled with aprroximatel300 idols representing Arabian and other religious figures. Prophet Muhammad earned the respect of his tribe by claiming the shrine for the new religion of Islam that he preached. He wanted the Kabah to be dedicated to the worship of the one God alone, and all the idols were destroyed. The other Quraysh people persecuted and harassed the Prophet continuously, and he and his followers eventually had to migrate to Medina in 622 AD.
The golden sand glistening at sunset will make you feel like you’re dreaming the reflection of the sunset on the marble around the Kabah, is just amazing! The blazing heat thrashing against your neck as you go around the Kabah.
The Kabah is situated in the Middle East, Saudi Arabia in the city of Makah.
The Kabah is basically a large stone structure in the shape of cube. It stands upon a 25cm marble base. It is about 13.1 metre high by 11.03metre by 12.9metre. The Kabah has an entrance door. The Kabah is covered with a black silk and gold embroidered cloth which is annually changed.
