It was an awful, awful night

As I can’t believe my eyes

With the news I read that day

That Dolphy passed away

I’m not related to the man

Hey, I’m just a lowly fan!

But this guy has got it going

With the Filipino people that he’s serving

Entertainment was his business

And his feet have no Achilles’

Coz he can dance great as well as sing

Well, probably not the latter Ding!

He was the first to dress them crossed

When in fact he’s more the “boss”

He is a ladies’ man indeed!

With 18 siblings, what’s there to prove?

So, come last night the people cried

Even the stars bowed down in sight

The heavens poured a shower of blessings

Salute to the King, of eternal grinning!
