Like in the Songs of Solomon, we all long for love…

I am devastated for your love

how long will you have me wait

for your gentle touch

as I dance among the lilies

my spirit yearns for your love

I roam free among the dandelions

breathing sighs of missing you

as I dance my spirit soars

my body moans in love with you

I pray for my lover

as I dance in the meadows

awaiting the entrance of my partner

the one in whom I adore

where are you my knight

I hear your horse in the distance

how long will you have me wait

I thrive to blush in your existence

come dance with me my beau

In each others trembling arms

our desirous lips will ignite

the dance that shall be our last

A poem of tomorrow’s pleasures. Well written and hopefully fullfilled.

The metre reminds me of a psalm. If that’s what you were aiming to do, you have succeeded.
