The Lavender Lady

Lost dreams

that were

swept away,

recall evil

lovers that

left your

soul’s Angels

for dead.

Standing proud

in your

silent sorrow,

you watched

the vultures

prey on

your heart.

*

Poets call to

your muse

to bid

farewell

to the

grim ferryman,

as he

bears your

sorrow

across the

River Styx.

Rise up, dear

hopeful phoenix

and become the

joyous bird

of paradise

that was

forgotten.

This poem is flaberghasting… in my opinion you did not need a picture for you words painted a more detailed and beautiful painting in my mind… i love the way you used several elements of mythology to write this… i loved this poem… i am only fourteen and i write poetry myself… i would love to be able to write like you one day…
