O be truthful to thine self,
Is a lesson to all…
…Even though you knew a lesson that applied to all;
Be truthful to thine self.
To be truthful to thine self,
Is a lesson to all;
You can’t pretend to be someone else,
By wearing a mask, hiding who you are
Even though it’s tearing you apart,
To show who and what you really are
And in a sense of mind,
The truth others will soon find.
And once the truth has been found,
You’ll never hear a word or sound
From any one again
Never again,
Shall you hear a sound or word
Once the truth has been found
For if the truth is found, and it will be,
It’s quite a sense of mind
It will show who and what you really are.
For it is fact that you were to weak
And you have shown that
By wearing that wretched mask
In hopes of becoming someone else, but it was just a lie
Even though you knew a lesson that applied to all;
Be truthful to thine self
