A poem about my best friend’s boyfriend.
I watch him lie,
I watch him cheat,
Then back to her,
He talks too sweet.
She believes
The lies he tells,
All she hears
Are wedding bells.
I’ve tried to tell her,
To let her know,
But she won’t listen,
She turns to go.
One day she’ll fall,
Like a crashing plane,
With a broken heart,
A bleeding vein.
Nothing I can do
With a stubborn mind
She’ll learn the hard way,
It won’t be kind.
I’ll have to catch her,
Be her best friend,
Through thick and thin,
Until the very end.
