A short poem for Teddy.
You shall know them by there deeds.
And his were many
For he was the people’s Champion
He was our knight in shining armor
Our Lancelot, our Galahad
Our Merlin our Arthur
In times of trouble he stood tall
And brave and determined
And always on the side of the people
On the side of right and just treatment for all people
No man of his kind has come before him
And none of his heart, I fear will follow
Bur none who love this country
Will ever forget his name
His life was dedicated to his people
He carried the burden will
And in times of personal trouble
His blame was for himself
But now his time is over
No more battles will he fight
This world is a whole lot poorer
The Lion of the Senate sleep to night
