“The Listener fights with air, and speaks with silence.” Michelle Paver.

No one listens to the Listener

No one fights the battle for the weak

Nobody hears for the one without ears

No one gives sight to the one with no eyes

Nobody cares, nobody dares

To hear the words of the girl who screams

And has plenty of dreams

But when the moment comes she had no voice

She has no choice

Because nobody wants to hear

They want her to listen

Being a listener is tough. I would say this is a fairly true to life poetical response to a social situation. It’s well constructed with subtle placement of rhyme.
    Well done.

I’m sure you posted this just to annoy me (with the lack of punctuation). :P

However – great poem, great message, great emotion. Life would be much easier if there were more Listeners in the world.

I would never do such a thing, Ninja! I wrote this before the Punctuation Wars, anyway, so I didn’t notice.

Yeah, I think you showed it to me ages ago, actually. But you totally would do such a thing!
