:)

Oh, at Palawan Beach of Sentosa

I saw something strange from afar

A creature was walking on the sand

Could be a rooster or his wife, the hen

I walked near to take a clearer shot

Then I realised it was a small peacock

Puzzled I was, how this bird came here

It was taking a stroll by itself, so idle

Knowing I was waiting for it to display a fan

It walked away from me, declined to be a friend

Come on, you are beautiful but need not be proud

Just curious about you, and there was nothing else

I did not see your owner, who brought you here?

Did you escape from the bird park I just wonder

Maybe you swim across, or by taxi, bus, cable car or ferry

But you came without anyone else, so now you are lonely

Wonderful pics of peacock and beach. Enjoyed this. They never display their feathers when you want them to, do they!

  • BeatsMe on Mar 13, 2011

Uhm, maybe the peacock wasn’t a peacock. :D

The peacock is there for the end of year foam party at Sentosa.lol. Don’t get too close, the peacock might attack sometimes.

Star, I also saw a peacock in Sentosa, walking around freely. Don’t know if it is the only bird there. If so, we met the same bird. :D

The poem and the pictures were really beautiful. I think that was so brave of you to want to get a closer shot of the bird. I think I would have been a little scared to get too close to it.
