A lone traverler on a sojourn across the wastelands.
A long and dusty road leads me home
A tattered old coat and the pack on my back is all that I own
The weary earth offers me my only bed
Searching for paradise but death is all I find instead
Callused and rough feet keep me moving along
All comfort and convenience seems to be gone
The parched lands beg for the rains to come again
Man’s greed and corruption ruined the land forever my friend
The wind whips it’s fury against my teary eye
Wreckage of mankind is something I truly despise
I’m beaten and battered but still I search for home
This long and dusty road leads me on and on
A lone witness to the ravages of man
I spied a lone doe but she turned and ran
No food to bring life to this old body of mine
No water to quench the thirst I find
The only thing left is this long windswept road I call home
Day after day I wander and roam
All around my eyes see the discarded trash left for me
How can I be the last one left to be
