A midnight tryst once more.

An reenactment of The Lotus and the Moon.

Floating in a pond
Upon silken lily pads
Lying seductive

Her petals tremble
Anticipation quivers
Waiting in earnest

Across the black sky
His pale light shimmering
Descending slowly

Tumbling moonbeam
Caressing shaking petals
Embracing her soft

A velvety touch
A gentle, lingering stroke
Pleasure in the night

An entirely different genre of poetry. You are absolutely unpredictable lady. Your words cut like the edge of the samurai sword. Just don’t cut me off will you?

This is so beautiful, and such delicate piece of poetry.
