This is a poem that depicts the LAMP High School in Montgomery, AL from my personal perspective. A poem that is so mesmerizing and depicts the nature of this school from the dark to the light.

quia prima abierunt.—Revelation 21:1-4[1]

Permit us to explore the cave of the unnatural,

To prove we are of human race,

To strike down the slothful,

To conquer the intellect;

See yourself as dominant,

Leading the lethargic,

To the path of the righteous,

From the path of the lowlife.

Prove yourself worthy, child,

For no chap succeeds without adventure, without sorrow, without pain, without misery;

Fiend, O Fiend, strike down fatality,

Killing procrastinating minds,

Forcing creatures to discover the world,

Seize the life of the claustrophobic,

Expand the minuscule psyche,

Inflate eggheads into a balloon,

Conquer the mind.

Learn to be indomitable,

To be free of intimidations,

Battling Bad for Good,

Striving for glistening desires, only a reach away,

Developing the Loveless feeling within the soul,

Pursuing the diligent, studious environment,

Preparing for the future,

Falling into the endless chasm,

Only to end up back at the beginning.

Overwhelming desire fills the heart,

Weighing it down through the abyss,

Never halting at a certain place,

Filling the intellect with knowledge,

Expanding the understanding of life,

Spreading ferocious awareness to its surroundings,

Creating the unimaginable, the inconceivable wit,

Running high with daring wisdom,

For Evil wishes thy chi.

Vicious flames flicker above,

Illuminating the red, white building ahead,

Transforming itself from darkness into a magnificent building,

Praiseworthy of even supernatural beings;

Unimaginable tolls lie ahead,

Urging us with fluttering doors,

Convincing you and I to enter this mysterious place,

Seducing us with its splendor,

Tempting us with lust for its beauty.

Blossoming trees could be seen,

Illuminated by the ferocious flames,

Flickering above, high as the flag poles,

Luring our hearts to enter this mischievous building,

Eliminating any distrust,

Making us fall in love with the splendor of the building,
