Despite the understandable hectic season rush, please remember to take time to think about those who are not as fortunate as you are, and donate to your local food banks.

To the man who folks call Santa Clause.
I truly hope that you exist.
And will give close consideration,
To each item on my list.

It has taken several months to write
And was not scribbled down in greed.
I’m not asking for anything fancy,
Just a few things that I need.

I’d like to start by saying,
I’ve been as good as good can be.
So you’d have no trouble bringing,
These simple things to me.

I’d like to have a winter coat,
And some mittens would be nice,
The ones I wear have giant holes,
And let my fingers turn to ice.

I would like to have a bed,
That I could call my own.
Instead of sleeping on a pull-out couch,
With a brother who’s nearly grown.

Please help my mom to find a job,
She really has been trying.
So that when I go to sleep at night,
I will no longer hear her crying.

Well, I guess that that is all I need,
That`s everything on my list.
To the man who folks call Santa Clause
I truly hope that you exist.

I love this poem. Its perfect for the Christmas Season. This\’ what Christmas is about. It brought back many memories of writing letters to Santa Clause, leaving out cookies and hot chocolate, and sitting on Santa’s knee and telling him what we wanted for Christmas. Great Work!
