Written for my daughter and her husband for their wedding, May 29, 2010. I preached a sermon comparing the earthly marriage ceromony to the marriage of the Lamb which will take place in Heaven at the rapture.
Invitations have all been given.
The wedding garments are fair.
The banquet’s spread before us
Ready for the big affair.
The housing is being prepared
For now a very long time.
The groom is building mansions
To last for eternity.
The lamps are trimmed and ready
For the bridegroom to appear.
Preparations are being completed
For the great day is very near.
The bridegroom will be coming
In clouds up in the air.
Dead in Christ and alive in Him
Will rise to meet Him there.
Halleluiah! Praise the Lord!
The bride and king arrive.
And you have been invited
To the marriage of the Lamb!
