A poem about the true story of the pinecone.

The pinecone slips silently from the tree which gave it life

Cast down from its creator facing monumental strife

Alone, but not forsaken sheltered by the hand of God

It burrows its way into the earth nurtured by the sod

Then, a wondrous scene unfolds as a tree begins to sprout

A miracle from Heaven above – in this I have no doubt

Jesus also came to earth and faced its bitter pain

He died and yet He lives once more His death was not in vain

When life has left you bitter remember the empty tomb

Someday in God’s garden you’ll be a beautiful, fragrant bloom!
