I want the memory to go away.

The memory haunts me every night,

leaving my body trembling in fright.

You always return in my dreams.

The quiet is broken by my screams.

You were the terror of my neighborhood.

A scary nightmare from my childhood.

My innocence you have taken away.

I don’t want this memory to stay.
