A young victim accepts death…

She was trapped like an animal,

caged,

as the darkness raged,

the torture robbed her of reason,

as decaying victims lay in heap,

and sounds in the shadows would weep,

the mist became rain,

and she knew after death,

there would be no more pain,

in one last gasping breath,

she held back the cries,

with inscrutable liquid eyes,

her killer was the proud owner

of the ruthless pursuit,

and stole her early years,

but her satisfaction was no tears,

a dead girl cannot suffer,

as she released all her fears,

she then closed her eyes,

and invited the light,

it came to her like fire-flies,

then an angel lit up the night,

mute and beautiful,

it was a wonderful sight,

and her final passage,

was clear and bright.
