Today I found a poem I had written over 10 years ago. I paused to ponder – a moment.

The moment is

As the moment lasts

And casts its wings

Form the morning past

The moment gone is not re-pass

The glory of the ascending task

*

To open up your heart and, see

What there is for you to be

*

For the moment cannot well define

The infinite glory of the windows eye

.

Imagine finding a poem like that after all of this time – ‘the moment is as the moment lasts’ – beautiful work.

great one, though short…. so good to find old poems, now I must start searching my old old poems, get ready to read and laugh (as there are many funny so-called poems last time also).

Moments should really be treasured as they are just but a blink of an eye. Maybe we cannot retrace the same steps but we can always replay them in our hearts and minds. :-) Lovely poem Janette!
