A photograph in my memory

A time when we were family

But ever since that one moment of time

The photograph has faded

The time when family no longer describes us

Now because of the words I spoke 

the silence I let separate us

We are no longer in each other’s lives

But you are still in my heart

I know that Sorry is futile, for you already disregarded it

I know that reconciliation will never be for the friendship we once knew
