Living every day the best way you possibly can.
Vacuum sealed in muddy circumstances,
Participating in exaggerated examples of civility a mockery of the human spirit
Spasms of triumph followed by numbing setbacks,
Substituting dogmatic beliefs for broad-minded theorems, eliminating a majority of the latter
Dressed in dignity but outlined in history,
Refusing to endorse past melancholic malfunctions
Adjacent to ambitious, neighboring competitive,
Although grounded by splitting the difference with others
A few moments short of forever,
By no means overlooking the mortality of tomorrow
Committing to one’s comforts,
Satiated by the clean linens and cleaner conscience as one falls in nightly slumber
