I float softly to earth
As lush gentle grass flows melodically in the wind
I lay back and watch it
It tenderly eases me to sleep once again

My dreams lull me to another place
Where my body and spirit feel lighter and more peaceful
As my heart continues to race

Visions of the most beautiful things in this world
Dance through my mind
Butterflies, rainbows, sunsets
And a bright eyed child’s smile

I see mothers embracing children
I see everyday “random acts of kindness”
I see heroes rescuing frightened victims

It’s a world where the beauty in my heart
Can illuminate the darkest night
With the force of unending passion I can’t ever live without

A place where
Despite all the pain I’ve somehow survived through
Is a place where the goodness of mankind
Will never be extinguished or painted untrue

Warm sunrays beam down
Enveloping my body, limbs and face
The feeling is heavenly and comforting, a tranquil bliss
It’s a feeling like no other,
A feeling that could never, ever be replaced
