Poem.
The Most Tender Hug
With puppy dog eyes
He begged for my touch
That child like look
Not asking for much
A casual glance
Then look to the ground
Can’t look at me straight
So he fidgets around
Not wanting to say it
Nor want it to much
He tries to be casual
About needing to touch
I must admit
With this memometary advantage
I milked the moment
For each pennies worth
And valued it more then
Frankincense or myrrh
More then pearls, diamonds or gold
I treasured his wanting me
For a moment to hold
To share an embrace
The most tender hug
A gentle expression
Of our unconditional love
