An old garden is to get a facelift.

I stood and looked and leaned on the gate,

This must be the place I am supposed to wait,

The garden path was old and worn,

Weeds grew around the garden’s borders and lawn,

Fruit trees grew all over the yard,

I bet looking after this is very hard,

Then an old man walked up to the gate,

‘You must be the man I asked to wait?

“Do you think you make this garden good?”

I’m much too old to dig or chop wood,

“Yes I’would like give it a try,”

“It will take some time and the weather dry,”

“But it’s a lovely spot to enjoy and rest.”

“I would love to start and I will do my best.”
